A meeting was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources with Eldik Bank to discuss climate projects

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic with the participation of OJSC “Eldik Bank”, dedicated to the implementation of climate and environmental protection projects.

The Ministry noted that OJSC “Eldik Bank” has successfully completed the process of obtaining direct access accreditation to the largest international climate financing mechanism — the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

The Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, Akyl Toktobaev, congratulated the Bank on this achievement, emphasizing the significance of the work carried out and the high level of cooperation between the parties.

It was highlighted that this result is the outcome of coordinated and constructive joint efforts, as well as institutional support provided by the Ministry of Natural Resources at all stages of the process.

In turn, the Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC “Eldik Bank”, Ulanbek Nagaev, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry for its comprehensive support and effective cooperation in obtaining direct access status.

It was noted that the acquired status opens up new opportunities for attracting international financing and implementing large-scale national initiatives in the fields of climate and environmental protection.

The parties confirmed their intention to continue close cooperation and consolidate efforts to promote projects aimed at:

• development of climate initiatives
• implementation of environmental protection programs
• support for renewable energy projects

It was also emphasized that these areas fully align with the national priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of environmental and sustainable development.
