Be careful: scammers create websites that visually resemble banking websites.
How to tell a fake website from a real one?
- the website address contains errors, extra elements, or symbols;
- there is no secure https connection and no closed padlock icon;
- contact information is missing;
- there are spelling mistakes, an outdated design, or altered logos;
- there are no user agreements, payment, or delivery terms;
- the website unjustifiably requests financial and personal data:
- login and password for internet banking
- SMS code
- card CVV code.
How to protect yourself:
do not follow links from unknown senders;
use saved bookmarks of official websites;
install and regularly update antivirus software;
if in doubt, contact the bank directly at 9111, WhatsApp (0706) 911 111.
