Connecting banks to the international CIPS system through Eldik Bank

Eldik Bank, a direct participant in the international payment system CIPS (Cross-border Interbank Payment System), has begun connecting Kyrgyz banks and foreign financial institutions to the system through its own infrastructure. Connection through Eldik Bank allows banks to conduct international settlements in Chinese yuan and expand their service capabilities for clients conducting foreign trade with China.

Banks can connect to CIPS through Eldik Bank as indirect participants, gaining access to the international yuan settlement infrastructure without having to directly connect to the system themselves.

Advantages of connecting through Eldik Bank:

- Access to international settlements in Chinese yuan;

- Connection to CIPS as an indirect participant;

- Use of the infrastructure of a direct CIPS participant;

- Technical support for the connection process and subsequent operations;

- Expanded service capabilities for clients working with China.

The development of the CIPS settlement infrastructure will increase the availability of cross-border payments in yuan and will facilitate the further development of trade and economic ties between Kyrgyzstan, Central Asian countries, and China.
