Eldik Bank Participated in an ILO Training on Preventing Workplace Discrimination

Eldik Bank took part in a training organized by the International Labour Organization (ILO) dedicated to ILO conventions on preventing discrimination in the workplace. The event was held as part of the global “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign.
Representing the Bank, Gender and Inclusion Manager Jyldyz Abdyldayeva delivered a presentation on the Bank’s Gender Equality Policy. She outlined the Bank’s key approaches to promoting equal opportunities and creating a safe working environment.
During the training, participants reviewed the core provisions of the ILO Convention on Discrimination in Employment and Occupation (No. 111) and the Convention on Violence and Harassment (No. 190), with a focus on the role of employers and effective practices for preventing discrimination and violence in the workplace. International experience and best practices from countries that have ratified and implemented ILO Convention No. 190 were also presented.
The Q&A session allowed participants to discuss practical experience, current challenges, and ways to implement standards ensuring equality and workplace safety. As a result of the discussions, recommendations were developed for further implementation of Gender Equality Policies within organizations.
