A mission of consultants from the UNDP and the Green Climate Fund is taking place at Eldik Bank

From April 27 to 30, 2026, an international and national consultants’ mission is being held in Bishkek as part of the Green Climate Fund and United Nations Development Programme project “Strengthening the capacity of national financial institutions to access green and climate finance and ensure its effective use.”

Within the framework of the project, Eldik Bank is working in two key areas: developing instruments to mobilize resources from international “green” financial institutions, and implementing validation, verification, and reporting (VVR) systems in line with international standards and national legislation.

On April 29, a working meeting was held with the participation of international and national experts, during which the results of the first phase of the project were presented, the Bank’s current approaches were discussed, and further steps for developing a sustainable finance system were identified.

The implementation of the project aims to increase the transparency and accountability of green financing, as well as to strengthen the Bank’s capacity to attract international climate resources.
