Eldik Bank Participated in an Event Dedicated to World Environment Day

On June 5, 2026, a ceremonial event dedicated to World Environment Day was held in Bishkek. This year’s observance is held under the global call #NowForClimate, highlighting the need for concrete actions to address climate change. This issue is particularly relevant for Kyrgyzstan due to glacier retreat, changes in river water regimes, and the increasing frequency of extreme weather events.

On behalf of Eldik Bank, Board Member Aidzhan Karieva delivered a congratulatory speech. She emphasized the importance of joint efforts by the government, businesses, and society in addressing climate challenges, noting that Eldik Bank actively supports projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable business development. She also highlighted that the Bank’s accreditation with the Green Climate Fund opens new opportunities for attracting international financing for environmental initiatives in Kyrgyzstan.
