Gov FinTech collaboration MEGA Eldik Bank: contribution to the development of AI in the Kyrgyz language
The first GovFinTech collaboration of state-owned companies continues to support the development of AI in the Kyrgyz language. MEGA & Eldik Bank acted as general partners of the second Republican AI hackathon. It was held in Bishkek on April 17-19 with the support of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov and ULUT Soft.
More than 50 teams from all over the country took part in the hackathon. Participants worked on startups using artificial intelligence (AI) in the Kyrgyz language.
“We see a broad opportunity to popularize the state language thanks to artificial intelligence. Modern technologies can serve both globalization and the preservation of national identity. As the first state fintech collaboration, our mission also highlighted the use of modern technologies in the national interests,” said Tatyana Shakhin, Head of the GovFinTech Collaboration Project Office.
The first place was taken by the Kadam team with a mobile application that generates information using a phone camera. The second place went to the UME team, which developed a web tool that allows you to split a music file into tracks. The third place was awarded to the Oyou team with an application that can translate texts into speech on MS Word, Power Point, etc.
The winners of the hackathon received not only valuable prizes from MEGA and Eldik Bank, but also certificates for internships in the companies.
The MEGA&Eldik Bank collaboration is ready for close cooperation with the IT industry and national innovators in order to form a sustainable and high-tech ecosystem of the country. In addition, the collaboration and each of the companies individually, as part of their social and corporate responsibility, actively support the development of the state language and its integration into the digital agenda.
