Launch of the small hydroelectric power station "Ysyk-Ata-1" with the support of Eldik Bank

The launch of the small hydroelectric power station “Ysyk-Ata-1” took place in the Chui region. Its construction was financed by Eldik Bank. The facility's power is two megawatts. The hydroelectric power station will provide electricity to 600 homes.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov and First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Eldik Bank OJSC Akylbek Turdaliev took part in the opening of the station.

Financing such projects is consistent with Eldik Bank’s ESG strategy in terms of the introduction and development of renewable energy sources in the republic. The Bank supports hydropower, solar and wind energy as they play a key role in combating climate change, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and promoting sustainable development. Hydropower, as an important part of renewable energy sources, does not produce emissions of carbon dioxide and other pollutants and does not have a negative impact on the environment.
