Eldik Bank&MEGA selected in the “Collaboration of the Year” nomination
OJSC Eldik Bank and the state mobile operator MEGA received recognition in the annual #ONE MAGAZINE AWARDS 2023 in the “Collaboration of the Year” category for creating the first joint cross-industry GovFinTech project in the country.
The 8th #ONE MAGAZINE AWARDS 2023 ceremony took place last Saturday in Bishkek. It announced the best business representatives of Kyrgyzstan for their achievements in various fields according to One Magazine. This year, 26 nominees were presented at the ceremony.
Let us remind you that in December 2023, Eldik Bank and MEGA announced a collaboration. Two flagships of the public sector announced the first cross-sectoral digital government initiative. Thus, giving birth to the development of mobile financial technologies - GovFinTech. Today, active work is underway on a unified mobile application for entrepreneurs based on a joint project office. The first smart collaboration solution for SMEs is planned to be launched in February this year. The smart solution is designed to accompany the online “path of an entrepreneur” from registration to liquidation of an individual entrepreneur/LLC and create a full-fledged digital developing ecosystem of “life cycles” of an enterprise based on the “single window” principle.The initiative is being implemented on behalf of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Zhaparov within the framework of the state digital policy.

OJSC Eldik Bank is one of the largest and most progressive banks, which is the first in the country to introduce innovative projects aimed at expanding financial services and products, supporting the population and facilitating the receipt of banking services.
In 2023, Eldik Bank demonstrated active growth in financial indicators. Thus, the authorized capital of the bank reached 9,400,822,000 soms. The increase in net profit amounted to 237.2%, the loan portfolio increased by 133.4%, and the authorized capital - 132.8%.
At the end of the past year, according to the State Agency for State Property Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Eldik Bank became the “Best State Company”. The bank also received an award from the State Tax Service “For a significant contribution to the formation of the revenue side of the budget of the Kyrgyz Republic, conscientious implementation of tax legislation for the first 5 months of 2023.” In addition, the bank received awards from the Visa payment system for the introduction of innovative banking products: E-commerce Launch - for the launch of Internet acquiring services for Visa cards; Launch of Visa Direct - for the launch of the Visa Direct service in RSK24 mobile banking; “For the launch of the Google Pay service.”
Eldik Bank is the first bank in Kyrgyzstan to become a member of WSBI (World Savings and Retail Banking Institute). In 2023, the Bank also signed an agreement with the State Development Bank of China to open a credit line of RMB 10 million to finance small and medium-sized businesses.
MEGA (Alfa Telecom CJSC) is the largest mobile communications operator in the Kyrgyz Republic. Over the past 12 months, MEGA has carried out extensive work to develop and optimize the network. Today MEGA is the leader in 2/3/4G network coverage in the republic, providing mobile communications to more than 99% of the country's populated area. Last year, the state cellular operator launched a free, technologically advanced VoLTE service for the first time in Kyrgyzstan.The company also presented a number of digital solutions and successfully tested 5G technology. MEGA is actively developing the FinTech direction, offering convenient services: MegaPay, MegaTV, Mega24, MegaKassa, MegaLab. Together with the state institution “Tunduk”, MEGA was the first to launch a pilot project “Digital documents and government services in MegaPay”. The domestic operator was also the first to launch a service through which you can obtain a cloud electronic signature.Today, using MegaPay, you can pay for more than 1,200 goods and services from your phone balance or via QR code, transfer funds without commission to cards of 10 banks in Kyrgyzstan, repay loans, and make international transfers.
